Vintage Farm, summer 2000

Vintage Black Arabians is a family owned and operated reputable, quality breeder of
 Straight Egyptian, Al Khamsa Arabian Horses with an added focus on the color black.
ABOUT OUR FARM...
We have invested allot of sweat equity into our old farm, which originated in 1860
as the Tyler Farm.  Our main horse barn was the old carriage house which
has hand carved beams and trees for structural supports.  Our stall fronts are as
unique and individual as each of our wonderful Arabians.  Our goals in
breeding Straight Egyptian Arabians isn't to get rich, but rather to perpetuate, preserve, protect
 and share the rich qualities that our Desert Bred Arabians have with those who seek them.
NEW TO THE BREED?...
For those of you new to Straight Egyptian Arabians, what sets them apart from other Arabian horses is that all lines in the pedigree MUST end in Egypt to qualify as Straight Egyptian.
The Arabian Horse Registry has simplified that task, as all Straight Egyptian and Al Khamsa
Arabian Horses are listed in those breed groups on AHA Data Source.
When you are viewing a Straight Egyptian, you
are essentially seeing the Arabian horse as they appeared in the Desert at the time
 of the Pharos's and before.  The original blueprint.
Domestic bred Arabians are wonderful, and I would not ever discount them.  But
there would be no domestic Arabians without the original Straight Egyptian to draw from.

You need not be financially affluent to own an Arabian or Straight Egyptian Arabian,
but you do need to have love of the animal and be  dedicated and committed.
If you are serious about purchasing your first Arabian or
adding to your breeding program, the best person to contact is the Breeder.
~~~
WHY BUY FROM BREEDERS...
Because the Breeder is the one who has the largest investment into the individual horse.
Not just financially speaking but also a tremendous amount of time & planning goes into
Geneo-type (pedigree & bloodlines) and Pheno-type (Phyisical attributes & characteristics)
Strains will fall under the category of Pheno-type, as years ago, in the desert, the Bedouin
tribes lived such a vast distance from one another that they would in-bred and line-bred.
When employing these breeding techniques, it creates genetic strengths.  It can also
magnify faults, so one must be careful.  Thinking used to be, that it would create crazy.
This is not true, unless crazy or bad dispositions are present.  In a case of such individuals
with aggressive behavior,  serious breeders with love of the breed will not breed that on.
Line breeding and In Breeding will create stronger traits, a more predictable producer.
A genetic stamp so to speak.
